VeloClip is a bar-speed sensor for lifters who train with intent. It clips to your rack and reads how fast your bar is moving, live, on every rep. No camera. No tripod. No subscription. Clip on, lift, and the number's there before the bar's back in the rack.

HOW ACCURATE IS IT?

VeloClip measures how far and how fast a cable is pulled as the bar moves. That is a linear position transducer, the same measuring principle used by established velocity trackers. In my testing so far it reads sensibly. I have not yet run a formal side-by-side comparison against a reference device, so I am not claiming validation. When that comparison is done, I will share the results, whatever they show.

WHY NOT JUST FILM IT

Camera tracking needs a tripod, the right angle and a clear view of the bar. In a busy gym that breaks. VeloClip doesn't care about lighting, angles or people walking past. It also costs £89 once, not a subscription every month.

I'm a discus thrower. I wanted to see my own numbers and nothing I found did it for under £300. So I found this device, tested it and launched it as VeloClip. The founding batch is the first run, limited, and it goes to the people who believed early.
